Description

Our theme for Parshat Acharei Mot is: Torah & its Divine Law as וחי בהם, in contrast to man made law as לא יחיו בהם. We will raise a number of problems in understanding a unit of 3 verses in the 18th Chapter of Sefer Vayikra. Based upon an insight of the Tolner Reby reflecting on the fundamental difference between Divine Law and להבדל man-made law, we will resove the difficulties in the verses and the apparent contradiction in the understanding of תורה שבעל פה regarding the rule of וחי בהם. In the last part of today's shiur we will discuss the midah of צניעות which is central to this week's parsha.
