Description

In Parshas Tazria the Torah presents the process of the purification of a woman after childbirth (יולדת) and the Korbanot she must bring. Which Korban comes first, the חטאת or the עולה? There is a contradiction regarding this question and Rashi calls our attention to this. Based on the Sefer 'Ma'amarei Kodesh' of the Tolner Rebby, we will attempt to reveal the deeper meaning and message inherent in this Parsha and the sequence and role of these two Korbanos. This will require an analysis of the dual nature of man & the challenge of Avodas HaShem. The קרבן חטאת represents man's continuous dedication to Teshuva; the קרבן עולה symbolizes man's goal - total dedication to Hashem with a pure heart.
