Description

For Masechet Kiddushin 23b-24b we will address a number of q's regarding the laws of Eved Cna'ani: Can the Eved Cna'ani free himself with his own funds?; what are the conditions that must be met for the Eved to achieve freedom when the Master removes an eye or a tooth or another limb of the Eved's body? When the victimized Eved goes free can he marry a Jewish woman, or must he first receive a גט שחרור? What if the Master caused the Eved's loss of sight or hearing in an indirect act of Nezek? What if the Master acted on behalf of the Eved but inadvertently injured the Eved and removed a limb? What if the Master was administering a medical procedure & without intent removed a limb of the Eved?
