For Masechet Berachot 31a, the sugya illistrates the Halacha that requires preparing for Tefilla with the study of Halacha Pesuka by offering three examples. Today we will study the third example & establish the status of the blood removed from a בהמת הקדש, does it lend itself to the Issur מעילה or does it not. We know that there is no מעילה after שחיטה. The reason for this is because the עיקר הקדש הוא גוף הבהמה, not the דם which is part of the process of kapara but is not the גוף הבהמה. We will review the previous sugya that enjoins one from complete laughter. We will also discuss the integration of Torah & Tefilla, and the possibility of reconciling the two methods of preparing for Tefilla, כובד ראש & Halacha Pesuka.
