Description

For Parshat Tzav we will study two sections & subjects. First the prohibition enjoining the eating of the Cheilev of a Neveila, and Second the nature of the Korban Toda. Our goal is to study פשוטו של מקרא and its relationship to Drashot Chazal. We will study the insights of the Seforno & the Netziv. The simple meaning of the pesukim teach a מצוה לשעה; the Drashas Chazal will teach the מצוה לדורות. We will address teh question: did the Torah prohibit only the Chailev of the Neveila, but its meat is permitted?? What is the uniqueness of the קרבן תודה? Is it קדשים קלים, similar to שלמים? Or is it קדשי קדשים, hence it can be eaten for only a day? Why 10 breads that are Chometz and 30 of Matzah?
