Of course everything gets its life from Hashem, however, in Chutz La'Aretz, the physicality is overpowering and Hashem's light is obstructed from the darkness. Everything Hashem sends down to this world is beautiful and comes in a pure state, however, we pervert that and bring impurity onto these things.
