In this shiur we begin with an analysis of Moshe Rabenu's decision to add a 3rd day of preparation for Ma'amad Har Sinai delaying the giving of the Torah by one day. The Almighty gives His approval and rests His Shechina upon the Mountain on the third day. We will try to understand Moshe's decision. In the second part of the shiur we will study the unit of verses which record Yitro's praise to Hahem for having rescued Yisrael from Pharoh & Mitzrayim, and Yitro's insight into the Divine system of reward & punishment. Why was Yitro so amazed by the nature of the Divine punishment meted out to the Mitzrim? Why was the feast celebration in honor of Yitro & where is Moshe? Why did Yitro advise Moshe to warn Israel re: the observance of Torah?
