In this shiur we will analyze the insights of the Pri Megadim (Yoreh Deah siman #92) on the psak of the Shulachan Aruch re: אפשר לסוחטו אסור. The Beis Yosef himself had already raised an objection against the presentation of the Rashba, and offered a second formulation based on a later Rashba. The Pri Megadim will compare and contrast these two views of the Rashba, emphasizing that each has both a חומרא and a קולא as well. The final psak seems to accept both the original opinion of the Rashba as well as his final conclusion. The P"M comes up with a beautiful scenario which allows bot formulations of the Rashba to arrive at the same conclusion. The case involves two cookings of meat and bread crumbs on Erev Pesach before the 6th hour.
