In this shiur on Basar Bechalav Derabanan, for example כחל that was cooked together with its milk and these was no 60, do we apply the principle of חנ"ן if the כחל was cooked in a 2nd קדירה? This is the debate betwen the Mechaber & the Ramah. With regard to חנ"ן in שאר איסורים we will again study a מחלוקת מחבר ורמ"א. The Taz combines these 2 issues & concludes LeHalacha we must be strict & apply חנ"ן in all cases, i.e. in all מאכ"א מדרבנן. The Rashba applies חנ"ן to כחל, i.e to Basar Bechalav Derabanan, yet accepts R' Efraim limiting חנ"ן to Basar Bechalav. We will compare & contrast the insights of the Pri Megadim & the Pri Chadash re: the leniency of the Shach in the case of a great loss due to חנ"ן.
