Description

Avraham Avinu made an unbelievable sacrifice. Ever since Akeidas Yitzchak, we all have the ability to make sacrifices. The Angel told Avraham to put down the knife. Arabs don't know how to put down the knife, Jews do. The bracha given to us was to be like the stars in the sky and the sand by the shore. These two brachas correspond to two ways of the Geulah, the redemption. One way is before its time which is like the stars-it comes about by us being together like constellations. The other way (which is probably what we have) is a redemption in its time. Sand is very spread apart. Each gradual of sand doesn't really have its own identity or presence in this world. But to be like the sand on the sea shore, WE NEED to have self control.
