Description

For our study of Parshas Vayeitzei we will try to reveal the deeper meaning of the unit of seven verses that record in detail the episode of Yaakov removing the cover of the well & his crying upon meeting Rachel. The Ramban sees in this story a prophetic foretelling of Jewish History. The well represents the Beis HaMikdash, or, alternatively, the Torah itself. Many ideas emerge from this unit of Pesukim. The image of Yaakov as the דמות האדם במרכבה emerges from this parsha.
