We will continue our study of the mitzva of Nichum Aveilim. Two dimensions of the mitzva, two kiyumim; what to say & what not to say; sending a letter of Tanchumin; the obligation of the Aveil to accept Tanchumin as a Kuyum of Aveilus; visiting by day & visiting by night; should the first three days be avoided?; the sensitive issues of a Menachem who is not on speaking terms with the Aveil, as well as a man visiting a woman or visa versa; the formula of המקום ינחם as both Nichum & Beracha; should the Aveil stand for a Chacham?; is there Nichum on Shabbos?; bringing one's child along; the significance of the Beis Avel; is this a Mitzva DeOraisa?; what comes first, Nichum or visiting the sick?
