Description

Does one need Teshuva & Kappara for the violation of a Derabanan (Rabbinic prohibition) Be'Shogeg (inadvertently)? We will study the insight of the Nesivos HaMishpat to the effect that no Aveira was violated in this case & kappara is completely unnecessary. What are the sources in the Gemorah that justify this revolutionary Chiddush? How far would the Nesivos go? Would he permit Reuvain to case Shumon to violate an Issur DeRabanan? Would the Issur of לפני עור be inapplicable? We will see that R' Meir Simcha MiDvinsk rejected the Nesivos.
