Starting with the first part of the sefer; There are different relationships in life. There is that of a husband and wife, two siblings or friends, and with places and things. However, these relationships have different statuses. Some fall under the category of an intimate relationship and others under an exterior relationship. Unlike other people with their country, the Jewish people's connection with Eretz Yisrael is a completely intimate and inner relationship. For us, the land of Israel is a land of life. Whether for physical or relationship goals or pleasures, Eretz Yisrael is not a means to an end, rather it is the end itself.
