Description

The Tur seems to assume that the Rabanan prohibited non-kosher meat cooked with kosher milk or non-kosher milk cooked with kosher meat as Basar BeChalav Derabanan. We don't know why the Rabanan did so since the mixture is prohibited in any event because of טמא. In this shiur we will analyze the Bach who explains the נפק"מ to this Issur DeRabanan, i.e. חתיכה נעשית נבילה. Based upon the Shach we will try to defend the Bach against the argument of the Taz. We will try to defent the Taz against the argument of the Pri Megadim from the Rambam re: cooking Neveila with milk. At the end of this shiur we will introduce the issue of the status of חמי טבריה re: the Issur Basar Bechalav.
