Description
Tos', regarding the issue of a Katan reading the Megillah for a Gadol, i.e. the controversy between Chachamin & Rebby Yehuda, raises the q' why Birkas Hamazon is different & the katan can be מוציא a Gadol. While a Gadol who is obligated MiDerabanan can be מוציא one who us obligated MiDeOraisa, based on ערבות, the Katan is not included in ערבות. We must assume that there is a special rule re: Birkas HaMazon. Rashi, however, assumes that the mitzva of chinuch is the father's obligation. Had the Katan been personally obligated, he could be מוציא a Gadol. We will try to present Rashi's view based upon the special Halacha of חבורה. This will require us to study 2 areas in which the rule of שומע כעונה is suspended, where אמן plays a major role.
