Description

One of the things about Chassidus it that its not a 'shittah' or a 'derech'. Why is this so? Furthermore, what is the chiddush of Chassidus? Chassidus is a revolution. Every revolution has a four step process to it and Chassidus has it too. The Jews in 18th century Europe were in a low place in both physicality and spirituality. A lot had transpired that had made them felt disconnected from Hashem, and the Rabbis only made it worse. The Baal Shem Tov was sent down to this world to tell us that just by being a Jew gives us the ability to get close to Hashem because everything we do in life can be in a way of holiness and to connect to Hashem. There is Godliness in everything and we just have to bring it out.
