Description
Yoreh De'ah, Siman 87: an introduction to Basar Bechalav: how much does one have to eat or cook to violate B"B"Ch? How much הנאה would you need to derive to violate this Issur? Does חצי שיעור apply to the issur Bishul? Does the Issur Bishul apply to soaking (כבוש), i.e. if he soaked meat in milk? And if the latter can only create an Issur DeRabanan, would the meat be אסור בהנאה? What if he subsequently cooked the soaked meat? The Mordechai proves that B"B"Ch Derabanan is not אסור בהנאה from the case of non-Jewish cheeses which are permissible in HaNa'ah. R'Akiva Eiger rejects this proof. Can one feed B"B"Ch to an owner-less animal? Must we search our home & destroy all B"B"Ch?
