Description

We will study the Aggadeta of Masechet Berachot 10b al pi HaRav A.Y. HaKohen Kook, we will analyze the dialectic of the sugya regarding the choice of words for the Nusach of Birchas Krias Shema, specifically the word Nogah vs. the word Choshech. Rav Kook divides language into two categories, Emet i.e. objective truth, and Tziyur, i.e. the way man perceives reality. We will study the blessing of the Kohanim one to another as they reflect on the four dimensions of human behaviou, which - if utilized properly - will lead to the greatest of blessings, Shalom. We will analyze the destructive philosophy of the Minim who advocated reciting the Aseres HaDibros on a regular basis. They believed in "being a good person" rather than fulfilling Mitzvot
