Description
The sugya in Baba basra presents "Toras Moshe" and "Parshas Bilam" as two separate entities. Rashi explains that the latter is not "Mitzorchei Moshe" as if to say the content of Parshas Bilam does not address the "needs" of Moshe. What does this mean? Why is this Parsha less a part of Toras Moshe than any other parsha that addresses - for example - the Avos? In this shiur we will study the insights of the Ramban regarding the nature of Bilam's "prophesy" and its purpose. We will establish that the secret to this entire parsha is "kvodam shel Yisrael", the glory of the nation of Israel. What is the deeper meaning of this definition?
