Description

In this mussar shmooze for Parshat Bahaalotecha, we will discuss three topics. 1) Why are we enjoined from demolishing a shul before we have erected its replacement, when the Mishcan was disassembled before it was rebuilt? The conclusion: the Mishkan was never taken apart! This will teach us that if one has his prioroties straight it is as if he never takes a pause from the study of Torah. This is why a Tzaddik is a מרכבה לשכינה. He is constantly connected to Hashem. 2) How do we relate to the argument of many Yeshiva students that despite moments of elevation they sense that they always return to where they were when they started. The lasting impact of moments of inspiration. Finally, the meaning of על חטא שחטאנו באונס.
