In this shiur for Masechet Makot 18b-19b, we will study the various parts of the mitzva of Bikurim, i.e. tenufa, Reiyas Penai HaBayis, Krias HaParsha, and Hanacha al gabei Mizbe'ach, and the relationship between all of these. We will study the controversy re: Krias Arami Oved Avi, is that merely a חובת גברא but is not an indispensable requirement leading up to the eating of the fruits, or is it an obligation inherent in the "cheftza" of the fruits & if omitted the fruits may not be eaten? A similar question applies to ReIyas Penei Habayis and Hanacha, are they both indispensable? In the latter part of the shiur we will address the q' of korbanot in our time after Churban, and the same re: Maaser Sheni in Yerushalayim today.
