Description

In Toras Emes, Reb Leigele asks a technical question. Why does the parsha start out and end off with different ways of saying "you should be holy"? In this Parsha, we are set apart from all other nations. We are Hashems chosen people, but in this sidra we acquire this Holiness that makes us different. In the beginning of the parsha we are told we are holy because as Hashem's children it is crucial to know that fact. By giving us the Mitzvos to do, Hashem was engraving within us this Holiness. But at the end of the parsha we are told to be holy in a different way. It comes to teach us that even when we are far and feel detached from Hashem, we must use the mitzvos to add more kedusha and get closer to Hashem.
