In this shiur for Parshat Tazria-Metzora, we will begin with a Hashkafic analysis of the cause of Negaim, and the relationship between the sin of Tzarus Ayin, the Omer period, & the loss of the talmidim of Rebby Akiva. We will explain why it is the Kohen who plays the key role in the process of Tumas Negaim & the Taharas HaMetzora. In the latter part of this shiur we will address the issue of shaving during the Sefira period. Would one who shaves daily be permitted to shave during Sefira? Would there be a leniency to shave on Erev Shabbos for the sake of Kvod Shabbos?
