Description

This shiur has II parts to it, Part I Masechet Megilla 24b & Masechet Chagiga 16a: defining the nature of the Mitzva of Birchas Kohanim. What is the nature of the Issur היסח הדעת regarding Birchas Kohanim? Is there a mutual obligation, one on the Kohen to bless & the other on the Tzibbur to be blessed, i.e. to receive the blessing? After 13 minites we will take a break for Part II of this shiur: we will discuss Halacha 4 Pesach, the Daled Kosos & the requirement of Heseba. We will discuss the Mitzva of Matza & it's relationship to Heseba, as well as the following issues in Daled Kosos: concentrated (undiluted) wine, 4 cups consecutively, raisin wine rather than grape wine. In the last 4 minites of the shiur we swing back to Birchas Kohanim.
