In this Mussar shmooze for Parshat Tzav, we will discuss the two methods of overcoming the temptation for sin. On the one hand we must emphasize the severity of the sin & the harshness of the punishment. On the other hand we must learn how to lower the significance of the sin & its benefits, convincing ourselves that the crime doesn't pay. We will discuss Divine help which inspires us when we cannot motivate ourselves & yet one reaches the level where Hashem sees that he can stand on his own and overcome the challenges he faces. Finally we will discuss the double thanks to Hashem that we appreciate not only the salvation but the צרה as well.
