In this shiur we will study 2 Melachot: זורע וכותב. Does Zorea have a minimal shiur of 'grogeres' as the rest of the Melachot that are performed to prepare food? Or is it similar to Choresh which has no minimal shiur? This is a dispute between Rashi & Rambam; we wish to discover the root of this controversy. In Meleches Kosev we will study the different ways of writing the letter מ"ם, as this distinction impacts on Shabos & the writing of a Sefer Torah. We will compare & contrast the laws of כתיבת גט with those of Meleches Kosev & the status of קלף in Tefillin & Shabbos. Finally we will study the law of causing a writing, does it constitute a Ma'aseh Ksiva in Shabbos & in Get? Does the requirement of כתב המתקיים apply to Get as in Shabbos.
