Description

In our study of the Ramban for Parshas Vayikra we begin the introduction to the 3rd Book of the Chumash. Ramban calls this Book the Sefer of the Kohanim and the Levi'im. We wonder why the Ramban identifies this Book with the Levi'im, since the latter are hardly mentioned in Sefer VaYikra. The Ramban in his commentary on the Sefer HaMitzvot classifies the two dimensions of the mitzva of korbanos as one single mitzva.These two are: הבאת הקרבנות the bringing of the Korban to the Mikdash by the Yisrael, and מעשה הקרבן the implementation of all the required acts of Hakrava by the kohanim. We will try to explain the Ramban by proving that the Yisrael & the Kohein partner in the HaKravas HaKorban. We will analyze the Mitzva of אכילת הקרבן.
