Last Sunday we began analyzing the Hashkafa of Shabbos. We continue & study the insights of the Michtav Me'Eliyahu on our responsibility vis-a-vis the Shabbos. We must impact on the Shabbos as it enters; the night of Shabbos is a מקבלת that needs our observance to sanctify the Shabbos in a full Kedusha. Only in the day does the Shabbos as a complete Kedusha impact on us. How are we to experience and understand the Shabbos? Perhaps the clue lies in the three different Tefilos of Shabbos as the Tur explains these Tefilos. We will look into the essay of HaRav Dovid Cohen of Y' Chevron. The root of Shabbos is in Bereishis, but the Shabbos moves forward to the level of Shabbos of Matan Torah. Finally we reach the unity of Shabbos at Mincha time.
