On page 30 in Maimar Hador, Rav Kook talks about two types of people. There are those who are naturally straight and do not have such a battle inside of them between good inclinations and evil. Then there is one who has to conquer their unnatural inclinations and direct them towards good and natural. Rav Kook adds that when one adds the light of torah and the penimus of torah to his life, it helps make him become straight and natural and allow him to avoid these inner battles.
