Rebbe brings down what we have been learning within Pleasure vs. Desire to an easier and more basic level. Every person in this world has desires. Whether it is food, money, honor, or what other people have and he doesn't, it is a desire. We know that desire stems from pleasure so what is the common pleasure that every desire includes? Everyone wants what he thinks is good for him. For us as simple Jews trying to get closer to Hashem, our desire should be-to be a Tzaddik (righteous Jew). We should desire to be one of the greats and have our ultimate pleasure to do what Hashem wants from us.
