From footnote 1855 on page 258-259 from Rav Kooks Oros, Rebbe discusses how one of the worst midos at the end of time is 'chutzpah' which stems from lack of emunah. No one could teach the right path to the generation and those who could were afraid to teach them the inner torah. Its not possible that teaching 'pilpulim' about things not even l'halacha is more important than teaching about Hashem and belief in Hashem. On page 28 in 'Hador' Rav Kook says that the beginning of the avodah for this generation that wants to feel alive and like a real Jew is a connection to Eretz Yisrael. This connection is not demographic, but rather a spiritual one. To learn Toras Eretz Yisrael, the Inner Torah and connect to the land (and move there of course).
