Description

From a piece in Toras Emes by Rav Leibele Eiger who's Yartzeit falls out tomorrow night. Rebbe goes through a pasuk in Parshas Mishpatim which discusses a bracha that includes three different aspects to it; long life, children and food. Hashem promises us he will remove the "chol" aspects from our lives and fill it up with kedusha as long as we promise to follow his commandments in a straight way. Sometimes a Jew will want to grow in Avodas Hashem but he will look back at his life and all of the years he wasted and it will discourage him from moving forward. Therefore, the pasuk comes to give chizzuk and tell this holy Jew that those "lacking" years will be filled. This is a Kavana we need have going into Adar and Parshas Shekalim.
