Description

One should not to pray outside a synagogue but rather must enter and join the Tzibbur. Rav Huna expresses the severity of praying outside the entrance of the shul, but Abaye qualifies the statement. If he is outside the shul but praying in the same direction the Tzibbur is facing, then it's OK. We will study the reason for the severity of the "crime" by learning what Eliyahu HaNavi said to a Jew who violated this Issur. Rav Kook's two approaches to this Aggadeta will be analyzed.
