The first mitzvah commanded to the Jews was "Chodesh Hazeh Lachem" that the chodesh should be for us. For us to use to our advantage and for us to make good only to see good to follow. It is important for every Yid to know that he has an affect on all the worlds and that his actions DO matter. Nowadays we are missing the feeling of 'Achrayos' (responsibility). When Yermiyahu was told by Hashem that he would lead the Jewish people, he said that he couldn't because he is a na'ar. This mindset is one we have to remove as we begin the zman to achieve big things
