Description

Even though Shulchan Aruch is the instruction manual for raising children, not all of the laws are found in one section. The four main areas of child-related halachos (laws). Involving little children in chillul (desecration of) Shabbos (e.g., turning on lights for the family). Who has the obligation to teach the child? With very few and specific exceptions, we are not permitted to cause even a child to violate a Torah or rabbinic law. The baby-monitor in the baby's room. What is permissible after lighting candles? Washing and bathing a child on Shabbos and Yom Tov (hot water). Cleaning a child's face. Non-medical ointments and creams. Combing, brushing, braiding and creating a "hair-do." Cutting nails, and.... baby wipes! Opening the sticky tape on disposable diapers.
