Description

The practice of visiting a cemetery has guidelines within halacha and also from Toras haNistar (Kabbalah). Regarding the Ma'aras HaMachpeila in Hevron, there is a halachic question about whether the fact that it is used as mosque is problematic for tefillah (prayer). The Klausenberger Rebbe said that there is no difference between a church and a mosque, as places of avodah zara (idolatry).The Ran says that all people in any particular generation are spiritually influenced by the tzaddikim of their generation. The shefa Eloki (Godly influence) of the bones of a tzaddik makes his gravesite a superior place to daven.
