Description

A piece from the Beis Yaakov on the mitzvah of lechem hapanim (showbread). The lechem hapanim had to always be set in its table in the Beis HaMikdash, and stayed steaming fresh throughout the week. Everything that exists is designed to be a kisei (seat) for Hashem's kavod (glory). If a person sees himself as existing independent of Hashem becomes a seat of iniquity through which destructive powers are revealed. When something 'detaches' from Hashem, it becomes old and dry. Things that are fresh and new have more existence and are closer to their source.
