Description

The feeling of Boshes Hapanim - feeling completely embarassed. What did we do for the One who was kind to us and showered us with affection throughout the whole year - can we face Him? How did I use the amazing gifts Hashem gave me, my heart, mind, mouth, eyes, etc.? The proper use for my Jewish eyes - what did I allow myself to see and look at this past year? Throughout the year I have defiled my senses that were given to me use for kedusha (holiness). If we don't dig deep into our hearts we can't possibly be ashamed. Cholov Yisroel (specially supervised milk), daf yomi (the daily page of Talmud) and gezel akum (stealing from gentiles) - all at the same time; how can this be? Hashem's eternal question to Adam and to us - ayekah; where are you and what have you done to my world? An impure earthenware vessel and an impure heart can only become purified by being broken.
