Description

The first perek. The 13 middos (qualities) in Sefer Micha are the (pnimius) inner aspect of the 13 middos in the Chumash. When you respect, admire, and love someone, you try to aspire to be like them in some way. The Jewish people are the children of Hashem, thus we are given the opportunity to see Hashem in a more intimate way, specifically through saying Hashem's special names. The avodah (spiritual work) of tikkun hamiddos (fixing the character traits) is to bring the middos out from within the person. The quality of 'Mi Kel Kamocha' means that Hashem tolerates being humiliated through a person using the energy given by Hashem against Hashem. Creation is a chillul (desecration of) Hashem because it resulted in Adam, a creation that can choose to rebel against the Creator. A cheit (sin) exists in the mind before the actual action. Hashem can express the quality of kina (jealousy) and nekama (revenge), but holds them back.
