Hashem wants us to fight out milchamos (struggles) with fire and simcha (happiness). A person should feel the importance of each milchama and realize how beloved it is to Hashem. We are soldiers involved in thousands of wars. The final redemption will come with the koach (strength) of Yoseph and Yehudah. Hashem made the geula (redemption) from yetzias Mitzrayim (exodus from Egypt) in two stages.
