The avodah (spiritual work) of a Jew is to synchronize our eyes and our heart with the shlichus (mission) of Hashem. "Thank you for making me according to your will". If you love what Hashem loves, then we will go up to Eretz Yisrael. Only if we remove conceit from our heart can we truly love Eretz Yisroel.
