Description

Page 167. Beginning the 9th perek. By deepening the personal desire to give, we remove the desire to take and we unite with others. The more physical we are then the more divided we are. The more we are connected to the "Shoresh Elyon" (higher root of existence) then the less separated we are from ourselves and others. We have two difficulties when we attempt to bond with people we meet. We recoil from the evil element in the other person. We might have a personality clash with the other person. If we live as a "taker" we cannot really join with anyone. Takers create an imaginary sense of "relationship"- it seems that they are happy but really they are very very lonely with shallow relationships. The United Nations is the center for the world's leading takers. Only after we become centered in giving can we connect with others.
