Description

Page 161. Our neshama (soul) loves every single Jew. If we do not come into contact with our neshama, then we evaluate each Jew according to what that Jew can do for us. We have become addicted as youths to schnorring (habitually taking advantage of the generosity of others) whether it is for compliments, money, or approval. Long term affect that "a habitual taker" has on a person. A mature person will not take anything for free unless they want to make the giver feel good. Watch out for people who always want. There is not enough in the universe that we can do for a parent. The mother feels good about giving to her son. To give her that opportunity is itself a form of giving. Even though outwardly, it is an act of taking, in reality, it is an act of giving.
