Description

Page 119. Davening (prayer) is the key to all renewal- a return to what really was. Easier to go to a class on prayer then to really daven. On the surface there is nothing as stale as our davening. Our main work is to get to know those closest to us even better. Mishloach manos can be sent to the same old friends but in a new way. We ignore the depth of our parents. We live in an age where the only "chiddushim" are "new" things. The mekubalim teach that every tefillah (prayer) is new. Rosh Chodesh as a special day of spiritual value is completely underrated. The purpose of davening is to bring us to the state that we are standing before Hashem- then we are in the world of chiddush. All that's old, boring, stale, monotonous and miserable in our life is the result of our distance from G-d. Period.
