Description

A heart of stone is transformed into a heart of flesh by consistently dropping water onto it. Rav Yisrael Salanter would take one thought or pasuk (verse from the Torah) and say it out loud for several hours straight. If we check deeply in our heart, we will find the frightening truth that we do doubt that there is a Creator of the World. G-d exists on the outer layer of our heart and if there is something we desire from the inside of our heart we push Hashem aside to fulfill our desire. The G-d of our educational institutions is not the G-d that lies in the innermost recesses of our hearts. Hashem infiltrated into the depth of being of Jews who survived the holocaust through pashtus (simplicity). Ultimate simplicity is revealed in tears. Take an hour or two daily and say over and over again: Yesh Boray l'olam." (there is a Creator of the world).
