The Ramchal writes that a Jew should spend not less than one hour a day free from all other thoughts or activities in order to think about why was I created and what does the Master of the World want from me. Once we invest time into this very simple practice we cannot live without it since it transforms us. Any person really seeking Hashem will certainly spend one hour a day being with Hashem since closeness to God is our ultimate goal.
