We can go through the motions of being frum and "live" Yiddishkeit (Jewish observance) without Hashem. Possible to go through life as an orphan without feeling you have a "father." You cannot have a relationship with Hashem if you have made Hashem into a concept. There is a way to learn Torah with the Creator of the World. Hashem gave us a Torah of fire- not a Torah of ice.
