Description

Tefillah (prayer) connects "wanting something" and "getting something". The more a person feels in his heart and not just his mind that Hashem loves him, the more he will reciprocate with Ahavas Hashem (love for Hashem). Mitzvah of ahavah (love) is an avodah (entails deep inner work) since we cannot see G-d. We must pray to Hashem to help us see our children when we cannot see them. If a distraction makes us forget our love of Hashem, then it is not rooted deeply enough in our heart.
