Description

Yiras Hakavod (fear of lack of honor) - or hope that in gan eden (the afterlife) we will receive honor for our mitzvos (good deeds). The importance of a strong power of imagination. Yiras Hakavod should not be the focal point of most people's avodas Hashem (divine service). What is the avodah of Yiras Hashleimus (fear of [lack of] perfection)? The fear that I am not, and will not be the best I can be. How do we define shleimus? The space between understanding something and desiring it greatly. Only when we really want something, can we experience the fear of not obtaining it. Our fear of sin is proportionate to the desire to succeed in shleimus; i.e., coming closer to Hashem
